The Significance of Cats
It is safe to say that you have to be a certain type of person to understand cats properly. It’s probably much easier to love a dog or a hamster, because those animals are more predictable, but to love a cat requires you to be completely selfless.
Many people just can’t relate to cats. They do not understand why a well-fed house cat who go outside and kill mice and birds for the fun of it. There is a reason, though - in order to survive, the cat must keep its hunting skills sharp in case it gets lost or trapped. When your feline friend really loves you, he will hunt for you. Little “gifts” and “offerings” left on the doorstep are meant to as thank-you fro your care. Thank him politely for the sweet little offering, then dispose of the poor creature in private so as not to offend your feline.
